Sourdough Bread Recipe

My super tasty sourdough bread recipe is mess free to prepare and UPF free too. This is made using my sourdough starter recipe.

  Serves: 10 | Prep time: 40 minutes | Cooking time: 40 minutes. 217 Calories & 1.1g fat per serving.

Directions

  1. Take a large mixing bowl and add the flour, sourdough starter, salt and lukewarm water.
  2. Briefly mix everything together then cover with a glass saucepan lid for 30 minutes.
  3. Briefly mix again and leave covered for a further 30 minutes. Repeat this process 4 times in total.
  4. After the 4th time, leave the dough covered overnight for at least 12 hours.
  5. Once risen, pre-heat the oven to 220c / 430f and add a ramekin of water in the bottom of the oven.
  6. Meanwhile, line a bread tin with greaseproof or parchment paper.
  7. Pour the dough into the tin then bake in the oven for 45 minutes until risen and golden.
  8. Once baked, remove from the oven and leave to cool. Slice and enjoy.
